Five For Friday

Ok, this blogging stuff is time consuming!! I knew it would be, but man oh man, how do all of you find time to teach, blog, TPT, and have a family.  I'm working on a balance, or should I say my balance is working me over!  It doesn't help that we've been passing a tummy bug around our house between the four of us for about 2 and a half weeks.  For the moment we are all healthy (knock on wood REALLY HARD! LOL)

Ok, here goes!

I got this little card at the beginning of the week.  My little guy said he couldn't wait until our Valentine's Party on Friday.  He's so sweet.

This pic is actually from a week or so ago, but I am so proud of my kiddos.  We began AR (Accelerated Reader) the week of Thanksgiving, and since then they have taken and passed 217 AR tests to build their snowman!

They had so much fun!  As their reward we made snow globes last week.

We started setting this online timer this week during our Team Time to help us (read ME!) keep on track.  They love it!

Valentine's Party!  I don't know why, but it's the one classroom holiday I just can't get into.  I'm glad it's over!

And to beat it all, we ended up getting out of school early yesterday!!!! Parties were supposed to be at 2:15, and at 1:00 we found out the county was dismissing due to snow in the mountains at 2:00.  We got a frantic call from admin to start our parties and get them done!  The kids were off the chain wild!  

Of course where our school is at in the county, it was sunny by the time we left, snow only hit Gatlinburg I think, but I didn't want to really hang around.  So I cleaned up the food and left.  We have a four day weekend, and guess where I am today.

Yup!  Cleaning up the  aftermath while listening to a little Bon Jovi on Pandora.  Honestly, I had planned all along to come in today and clean and organize.  My littlest has her Valentine Party at daycare today and I was coming toward school anyway.  My oldest and daddy are hanging out.  Since it's so quiet here, I thought I would come in, clean, plan, and blog!

That's my Five for Friday this week.  I'm hoping to use some of the remainder of the weekend to work on my Vowel pack for Teachers Pay Teachers.
